A high technology flooring system from Fresco - offering exceptional anti-static performance coupled with ease of maintenance - has been applied at electrical manufacturer Tridonic.
More than 3,000m2 of self-levelling Peran Electrostatic Dissipating Floor Finish have been applied at the state-of-the-art site which manufactures lighting and associated equipment and needed a floor for the main production area capable of the highest conductivity levels.
Work at the site took approximately six weeks and involved the application of copper strips underneath the floor for high levels of anti-static performance. Utilising the latest in resin technology, coupled with anti-static capabilities, Peran ESD SL is self-smoothing, hard wearing, chemical resistant and easy to clean. It meets BS 2050 anti-static requirements, and is also non-tainting and non-dusting.
The system is specially formulated to disperse static electricity, which is ideal for environments where sensitive electronic components are handled or manufactured, or in clean room environments. Peran ESD SL is also suitable for areas where gas, solvents and explosives are handled, and in areas where there is a risk of dust and explosions.
Work at the site also involved Fresco’s Kristalina decorative resin surface in the R&D area, and Flowfast Terrosso the two hour floor concept was installed in the changing rooms and toilet areas.
We need to clean floors on a regular basis and we have had anti-static vinyl flooring in the past, including tiles and on a roll, but have found that water gets underneath and lifts the flooring up. As a sealed, seamless surface, Fresco’s resin floor makes maintenance easier.
